Funeral services for Albert J. Spillers, 85, of Musella, will be held on Tuesday at 4:00 pm at Musella Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Mr. Spillers passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at home under the care of Pine Pointe Hospice. He was a dedicated member of Musella Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. Mr. Spillers served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He was owner and operator of the former Catfish Kitchen in Roberta and was an avid farmer. He was a former member of Byron Bunch Square Dancers and he retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was preceded in death by his parents, Northrop Spillers and Mary Lee Mitchell Spillers; four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Avis Spillers of Musella; three daughters, Cornelia Tanner of Ft. Valley, Yvonne Brown (David) of Roberta and Jana Bennett (Randy) of Musella; grandchildren, Akeana Carter (Bradley) of Musella, Stormie Tanner (Levi) of Ft. Valley, Kyle Brown of Savannah, Alyssa Brown of Roberta, Tristen Bennett, Tyler Bennett, Ashton Bennett of Musella; great-grandchildren, Allie and Jaxson Carter; one brother, Harold “Doug” Spillers of Musella; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
