Graveside services for Gloris Carpenter Wainwright, 81, of Butler, will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Butler Memorial Cemetery.  Gloris passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at her residence.  She was a member of New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jackson and Lizzie Mae Carpenter; siblings, Johnnie Carpenter, Lorena Johnson, Madeline Peacock, Mildred Joiner, Freeman Carpenter, Myrtle Morris, and Marvin Carpenter; children, Larry Wainwright and Ann Wainwright; and a granddaughter, Amy Wainwright.

Survivors include her husband, Luther Clarence Wainwright (Bobby) of Butler; one son, Tony Wainwright (Angela) of Butler; sister, Edna Weathers of Macon;   grandchildren, Kenneth Wainwright, Brandy Spillers (Lamar) Neely South (Marcus), Melissa Wright (Gary), Mitch Wainwright (Britney), Buck Wainwright (Presley), Rebecca McElroy; seventeen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Tonya Gresham and Ethel Hinton.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
