Helen Weeks Greene

Helen Weeks Greene, 90, of Oglethorpe passed away Friday February 9, 2018 at The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville Ga.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church.  Visitation will be one hour before the funeral at 1:00 pm with Elder Dennis Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery. 

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Ray Greene; two brothers, Tom Weeks and Frank Weeks; two sisters, Sarah McCommon and Quanita Grimsley. Survivors include three sons, Neal (Diana) Greene of Ideal, GA, Donny and Larry Greene of Oglethorpe, GA; four grandchildren, Jerry, Dawn, Candace, and Jameson Greene, and eight great grandchildren.

Helen was born in Taylor County, GA on June 18, 1927 to the late John and Berta Weeks.

She was an excellent homemaker making the best fried chicken, dressing, country ham, and biscuits for her family and friends; above all, she was most known for loving and taking care of her family, which she always placed before herself.  She was a loyal member at Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, GA.

The family would like to thank The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville Ga. for the support and love they provided to Helen for 10 years. We will never be able to thank you enough.

Most of all she loved her family and friends, who will miss her greatly.
