Funeral services for James Deason, 64, of Butler will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 349 Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Road Butler, GA.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Deason passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at The Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry, GA.

He was a good man who enjoyed fishing and the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Deason and Betty Holmes Deason; his wife, Brenda Deason and close companion, Jeannie Parks.

Survivors include two sisters, Peggy Garris (Mike) of Sylacauga, AL and Wanda Ogle (Tony) of Sylacauga, AL; four step- children, Brent Greene (Cindy) of Thomaston, Angela Greene of Amelia Island, FL, Chip Greene of Butler and Chad Greene (Kristine) Cummings, GA; numerous grandkids.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 until 4 at the church.
