Funeral services for James Allen Wilson, 73, of Butler, will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 9, 2017 at The Church with the Rev. Tommy Beeland officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Mr. Wilson passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his home. 

He served in the Army Guard and Air Force Reserve and he retired from Robins Air Force Base after 36 years of service.  He was a member of The Church where he served as a deacon. He was a humble man of great faith who loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Cecil Wilson and Virginia Peterman Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Luanne Wilson of Butler; two daughters, Cindy Kay  Harris (David) of Butler and Lyndsey Hunter (Jason) of Butler; one son, Lee Reynolds of Oglethorpe; nine grandchildren, Leann and Jacob Reynolds, Ansley, Nolan, Cason, Brogan, Bralyn and Jentzen Hunter and Jennifer Harris; one brother, Cecil Wayne Wilson (Angie) of Butler; one sister, Clydeafaye Albritton (Sidney) of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend and caretaker, Marsha McCants.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at The Church, 592 Thomaston Highway, Butler, GA  31006.
