I just want to say I am going to miss Jay. He and I had a lot in common when it came to politics. He was a great advocate for rural Ga. He was such a genuine and sincere guy and he was a friend. He would give the shirt off his back if he had to. We were getting ready for 2018 and it's so sad that he won't be apart of it but his spirit will live on and on. Gone too soon.....way too soon!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr Mike and Nancy. He was a truly a great guy and confidon.

My words are not adequate to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. Jay was an inspiration to everyone around him. He will be missed, and his spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. You are in my every thought and prayer during this difficult time.

Nancy, Mike, Scott, Cheryl, and family....I am so deeply sorry that you all are going through this. It was such a pleasure knowing Jay. The two of us had talked so much over the past 2 years. You all raised a young man that cared for others and tried to help them. I will never forget the night he asked could he take a picture with me.....I thought I looked a mess but he didn't. No parent should have to bury their child. I will do anything I can to help you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Brethren,
The roll of the workmen has been called, and one Master Mason has not answered to his name. He has laid down the working tools of the Craft and with them he has left that mortal part for which he no longer has use. His labors here below have taught him to divest his heart and conscience of the vices and superfluities of life, thereby fitting his mind as a living stone for that spiritual building -- that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
This last Thursday, a good friend and Brother Mason passed away at the ripe old age of 31. Brother Jay Stalnaker and I had many great conversations over the past few years. He was a self-described "Southern Conservative Democrat" and very active in the Georgia Democratic Party. In all the discussions we had, Brother Jay would never let the discussion get out of hand. He always took the "high road" and I feel both of us were enlightened from our friendship and discussions. We were only friends and Brothers for a few years, but I know I will miss him forever.

Nancy, Mike and family...words cannot begin to express the loss that ya'll are feeling, nor his many, many friends such as myself. Jay was such a wonderful young man, with so much going for him as he was so close to realizing his dreams. I know I am going to miss cutting up with him as sometimes we argued about political junk and people would probably think we were the worst of enemies, but in Jay I had one really good friend and we would have each other's backs. Nancy and Mike, please, if ya'll need anything that we can do do not hesitate to call us. Ya'll are two really good people as was Jay, and we always understand each other. We will keep ya'll in our prayers though out this most difficult time. Praying that God will give ya'll the strength to move forward. God Bless ya'll.
