Funeral services for Matthew Stephen Vining, 33, of Roberta, will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Musella Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will be private. Matthew passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at his home. He was a member of Musella Baptist Church. He was a 2001 graduate of Crawford County High School and had attended Georgia Military College and Macon State College. He was employed with Atlanta Sand and Supply Company of Roberta, GA. He was a skilled carpenter and loved helping people in need. He enjoyed camping, canoeing and hiking with his friends. He passionately loved his family and friends, but most importantly he loved the Lord.

Survivors include his father, Ricky Vining of Ft. Valley; his mother, Mitzi Horne of Roberta; one sister, Jenna Vining of Roberta; his beloved dog, Daisy; aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends also survive.
