Rosie Lee Hudgens, 94, of Butler, GA passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home.
She was born May 16, 1922 in Lagrange, GA to Alfred and Maude Dailey. She had 9 children and was a homemaker most her life, working at Spilene of Reynolds prior to her retirement. She attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, loved old gospel hymns, and country music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Dailey and Maude Worthy Dailey; husband, Alford Hudgens; children, Donnie, Rufus, and Clara Hudgens, and James Hogan; brothers, Lindsey Dailey and Alfred Dailey, Jr.; and sister, Alice Sasser.
She is survived by two sons, David (Bonnie) Hudgens of Butler and Alfred (Delores) Hudgens of Luthersville; three daughters, Faye (Walter Loyd) Whatley of Butler, Janice (Phillip) Clark of Perry, and Nancy (Hallie Taunton) Hudgens of Butler. She was the proud grandmother of nineteen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at McLeighton Funeral Service in Butler. Graveside services will follow at 2 PM at Little Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Chaplain Ralph Dailey officiating. In the event of inclement weather, service will be held at the funeral home.
