Alfred Taunton Obituary
Graveside services for Alfred Taunton, 92, of Butler, will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Taunton passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Eddie Taunton and Clara Harmon Taunton.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joan Taunton of Butler; one son, Keith Taunton of Butler; one daughter, Melanie Shew of Glencoe, AL; one granddaughter, Jessa Shew of Glencoe, AL; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, PO Box 2050, Butler, GA 31006.
