Graveside services for Barbara Jane Rhodes, 71, of Reynolds, will be held 11:00 am Friday, December 1, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Mrs. Rhodes passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.  She was born December 12, 1945 in Augusta, GA to the late Samuel Harold Rhodes, Sr. and Mary Jane Demore Rhodes.  She attended Langley-Bath- Clearwater High School and Augusta College.   She retired from the Fulton County Board of Education after 30 years of service.   She was a member of Reynolds First Baptist Church and attended the Taylor County Senior Citizens Group. 

She was dedicated to her family and loved them dearly and had a deep abiding love for God. 

Survivors include her two sons and their wives, Wesley and Virginia Summers of Reynolds and Christopher and Shawna Summers, Winston Salem, NC; two brothers, Sam Rhodes, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Rickey Rhodes, North Augusta, SC;  grandchildren, Hannah, Eli, Aaron, Lilla Beth and Kate Summers of Reynolds and MaryJane and Emerson Summers of Winston-Salem, NC; several cousins also survive.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Taylor County Senior Citizens Group or Reynolds First Baptist Church.
