Funeral services for Carline Guined, 75, of Butler, will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Lebanon Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Mrs. Guined passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus.
She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and was retired from Taylor County Board of Education where she served as a para-pro and sponsor for the high school color guard. She enjoyed sewing and quilting for her family, working with flowers, and was learning to paint.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Harris; and a grandson, Jacob “Jay” New.
Survivors include her husband, H.L. Guined of Butler; one son, Raymond Guined of Butler; one daughter, Janet New (Joel) of Butler; four brothers, Jackie Thomaston (Gloria), Sonny Thomaston (Cindy), Jerry Thomaston and Harvey Thomaston; four sisters, Betty Juniewiez, Frances Veal (Bert), Mary Thomas and Margie Turner (Earl); six grandchildren, Brad Guined, Melanie Hosford, Bailie Layfield
(Blake), McKenzie Whimple, Jolyn New and Makala Harris; seven great-grandchildren, Kylann, Averie, Josie, Lane, Luke, Lynlee and Clayson.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
McLeighton Funeral Service of Butler is in charge of arrangements.
