Hi,
I was stationed with Charlie with the 101st Airborne in 1968/69. He was a great guy - very likable with a good sense of humor. It was a real pleasure to have known him if only for a short period of time. I was sad to hear of his passing since now with the internet I located him and would have loved to reconnect. I posted some photos on this site that you will enjoy. Please don't hesitate to conact me through my eMail address that is posted.

My wife and I were deeply saddened to learn of your passing and heartbroken that you're gone. We'll miss your physical presence and caring personality always remembering your dedication as a caring physician and trusted friend who took the time to treat the whole person.

For the remainder of my life I'll reflect with deep appreciation and respect for the friendship we formed and with utter amazement remember the wonderful contributions you made during your life. For those of us you served, you were a precious gift from God!

In the winter of life now I reflect often upon your kindness, your warmth and your friendship and will do so until the day I too lay down consciousness and cross the unfathomable chasm of death. We've missed you like crazy since you retired and especially right now but we also cling stubbornly to the audacious promises which were made long ago by a Galilean preacher who said that we'd meet again to live, laugh and fellowship together in a place of immeasurable joy where there's no more pain or sorrow. Rest in peace Dr. Maddox and God's speed!

For the wife and children of Dr. Maddox, I am so sorry for your loss. Truly I hope you can find the peace that only God can give. Our Heavenly Father told us in John 3:16 that He loves us and wants us to have everlasting life. In Revelation 21:1-4 He describes a completely new world where He will reside with mankind and will do away with pain, sickness, sorrow and even Death. For those who have died Jesus said he would call and those in the graves would come out to a resurrection. Jesus resurrected a number of people and always gave them back to their loved ones. Could this mean that all of you could be reunited in this new world together where you could live forever? For much more information please examine JW. ORG. I hope this helps some. Steve

Billy,Pozene and Flurette. Deaton and your parents were a guiding light during my "formative years". I remember he had chores...we could play "after he milked that cow" Deaton and your family will always linger in my heart.
