Marvin Darsey

Funeral services for Marvin Darsey, 79, of Roberta, will be held 2:00 pm Monday, March 19, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Congregational Christian Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Mr. Darsey passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Pruitt Health Hospice.

He was a member of Pleasant Hill Congregational Christian Church and he enjoyed going to gospel sings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Marvin Darsey and Waunita Adkins Darsey; his wives, Judith Darsey and Jan Darsey; and a daughter, Cassie Cossel.

Survivors include one son, Rodney W. Davis of Roberta; five daughters, Beverly Watts of Blue Ridge, Dana Darley of Byron, Kelli Jordan of Macon and Sherry King of Fort Valley; one brother, Sam LeRoy Rumney of Byron; and one sister, Myrtle Darsey of Cordele; five grandchildren, Chasity Jordan, Maddie Palmer, Amber Blount, Jarod Darley and Jaelyn Darley; eight step-grandchildren also survive.
