Mary Wright (Wright) Anthony

Graveside services for Mary Wright Anthony, 91, of Butler, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday. September 22, 2018 at Butler Memorial Cemetery.   Mrs. Anthony passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Emory University Hospital.  She was a member of Butler United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.  Mrs. Anthony was a social worker with Taylor County Department of Children and Family Services for over 30 years.  She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was a loving wife and mother and she dearly loved her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Susie Cooper Wright; her husband, Lovick Pierce Anthony; three brothers, Charlie Wright, Elmo Wright and Elton Wright; and one sister, Helen Dennard.

Survivors include two sons, Lovick P. Anthony, Jr. of Butler and Henry F. Anthony (Carol Geiger) of Roswell; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
