Funeral services for Mary Lou Willis, 78, of Oviedo, FL, will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the National Cremation and Burial Society in Oviedo, FL with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oviedo Cemetery. Mrs. Willis passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her daughter’s residence.
She attended The Church of God of Prophesy in Oviedo and The Church in Butler, GA when she was visiting family. At the age of three, she began playing the piano and was known all over for her talent. In her earlier years, she played country and western music and was in a band called Mary Lou and Crew. She also played the piano at her church. She loved everyone she met and was affectionally called Nana by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Oliver; her husband, Jake Lee Willis; a sister, Joan Boone and a grandson, John Curtis Reynolds.
Survivors include four children, Luanne Wilson of Butler, Brenda Coffey (Phillip) of Butler, Randy Willis (Leslie) of Cocoa Beach, FL and Sharon Thomas (Barry) of Sanford, FL; one step-daughter, Myrtice Shipes (Wadis) of Cedar Crossing, GA; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; special niece and nephew, Beth Ohm and Mark Boone; numerous other nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
