Mildred H. (Hammock) Peterman

Funeral services for Mildred Hammock Peterman, 78, of Butler, will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at The Church.   Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in The Church Cemetery.  Mrs. Mildred passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at her home.  She was a chartered member of The Church of Butler and was a member of the Stella Butler Chapter Order of the Eastern Star where she served as the organist.  She loved helping others, fishing and the outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Prather and Willie Mae Hammock.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jerry Peterman of Butler; one son, Wayne Peterman (Deborah) of Butler; one daughter, Marsha Lynn McCants of Butler; three brothers, Marion Hammock (Tinsy) of Macon, Lamar Hammock (Sandra) of Roberta and Rob Hammock of Thomaston; three grandchildren, Melody Copeland (Bobby) of Gainesville, FL, Joshua Peterman (Kaitlyn) of Jesup and Jed Davis (Kate) of Butler; one great grandson, Aiden Copeland; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
