Alma Ruth Turk, 101, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2017. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 3:00PM at Butler United Methodist Church. Preacher Lance Kindred will officiate.

Mrs. Turk was born on May 26, 1915 in Darien Georgia, to the late Lewis and Eugenia Beason. She was an active member of the Eastern Star and The American Legion, as well as being a member of the United Methodist Church in Butler, Georgia.  Mrs. Turk enjoyed fishing, cooking, knitting, crocheting and sewing.  She is preceded in death by her husband, John Turk, and three brothers, Jim, Rob and David Beason.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her two daughters, Jean Watson (Lew) and Janet McCants (Rentz); her five grandchildren, Linda (Ron Demamorim) Keiths, Sandi Cooper, Jennifer Watson, John Turk, and Melissa (Matthew) Shehee; and three great-grandchildren, Laure Cooper, Braxton Driggers, and Emmie-Ruth Shehee.
