Sue Livingston Whatley, 87, of Carrollton, Ga., and longtime resident of Reynolds, GA. passed away on May 2, 2017 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. The service for Mrs. Whatley will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Reynolds First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. They family will greet friends from 1:00 until 2:00 at the church. Burial will be private.

She was born in Leesburg, GA in 1929 to the late Garrett Van Livingston and Debbie Sue Bullock.  She moved to Reynolds in 1941 and graduated from Reynolds High School in 1946.  She was the longest living member of the Reynolds Woman’s Club.  She was a Girl Scout leader, member of Reynolds First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher as well as many other roles.   She had worked at Dial Gas Company, Reynolds Manufacturing Company, GMAC in Macon and Reynolds Telephone Company.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Julian Whatley, and two loving daughters, Debbie Hyla (Bob) of Atlanta, GA and Donna Lindley (Charlie) of Carrollton, GA, as well as her beloved granddaughters Katie and Madison Lindley. She is also survived by her loving sister Jean Posey of Dracula, GA.
