Walter Loyd Obituary
Graveside services for Walter Eugene Loyd, 83, of Butler, will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at Howard United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Loyd passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Walter served in the US Army during the Koren War and was retired from General Motors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Gurvis Loyd and Rena Inez Ray Loyd.
Survivors include his companion for 25 years, Alice Faye Whatley of Butler; one son, Ricky Loyd of Sugar Hill, GA; one daughter, Debra Loyd of Sugar Hill, GA; one sister, Christine Trussell of Butler; two step sons, Allen Young of Butler and Matthew Chapman of Columbus; one stepdaughter, Tina Cox (Lamar) of Butler; two grandchildren, Melanie Allen (Drew) of Rupert and Mindy Hobbs (John) of Reynolds; four great grandchildren; and two great nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30 until 1:30pm at the funeral home.
