Winifred Winslett Obituary
Funeral services for Winifred B. Winslett, 81, of Musella, will be held 11:00 am Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Musella Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Mrs. Winslett passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Coliseum Medical Center. She was a member of Musella Baptist Church. She was the first female to solo pilot an airplane at the Montezuma airport in 1966. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Winslett, Sr.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth “Kent” Winslett, Jr. (Patti) of Musella; one daughter, Paula Shepard (Ray) of Musella; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
