Al McGee

Funeral services for Al McGee, 72, of Roberta will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Roberta Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery.    Al passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Al loved and was loved by his family and friends.  Remember him on opening day of dove season, deer season, and when you’re on the river fishing. 

He was a member of the Roberta Church, Crawford County Kiwanis Club, Roberta Crawford County Chamber of Commerce and served as president of the Georgia Private Industry Council.  He was a retired electrician.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Homer McGee and Louise Bellamy McGee.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Barbara McGee of Roberta; two daughters, Melissa Hatton (David) of Macon and Carrie Green (Bryan) of Roberta; one sister, Linda Harper (Al) of Blairsville; grandchildren, Paige Pope (Aaron), Cassie Pope (Ryan) Laney Blair Fuller, Lily McGee, Mark Green, Chase Hatton (Leah), Katelin Palmer (Logan), Kendi Hatton; three great-grandchildren, Gia Moorer, Owen Ouzts and Annie Hatton; special nephews, Matt Harper (Amy) and William Harper (Kristen Lamberson); and many friends.

Visitation will be held at the church from 1 until 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roberta Church or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
