Funeral service for Allie Nicole Wainwright of Butler will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Bethel Congregational Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Turners Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Allie was born November 24, 1998, and gained her wings on June 15, 2023, at the age of 24. “Allie Cat” graduated from Taylor County High School in 2017 as “Most Humorous”. She completed her associate degree in early childhood education at Southern Crescent, she also attended Gordon State. “Allie-Oop” loved singing, music, fashion, makeup, making people laugh, she dearly loved her family and friends. She never met a stranger and all who knew her fell in love with her witt and contagious laugh. Her smile could brighten your day in an instant. “Allie Bug’s” strength and determination throughout her life was an inspiration to those closest to her. Even when life threw her curveballs she always believed “this too shall pass.”
Survivors include Allie’s parents, Teresa Starkey and Carl Wainwright; paternal grandmother, Ann Wainwright; siblings, Amanda McGullion and Ivey Wainwright; one niece, Kaileigh Bone; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Clarence Wainwright and maternal grandparents, Vernon and Paula Starkey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
