Funeral services for Avery Gray Moncrief, 13, of Reynolds will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 at Community Fellowship Church, 3 Railroad Street, Reynolds, Georgia.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. 

Avery was an amazing young man with the best smile, a quiet nature, a loving heart, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest day.

He loved his video games and the friends who came along with them. He looked forward to every family gathering, especially when it meant spending time with his favorite cousins. Whether he was telling jokes, pulling harmless pranks, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Avery had a special way of making every moment more fun.

He was polite, kind-hearted, and always down for a good time. While he could be quiet at times, his presence was felt by everyone around him. He had a gift for bringing joy into every room he entered and leaving people with a smile on their faces.

The memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though our time with him was far too short, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to have.

Our sweet boy, thank you for every laugh, every smile, every memory, and every moment. We will carry you with us always.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmothers, Ann Moncrief and Carolyn Walker; great-grandfather, Jimmy Walker and a great uncle, Jerry Moncrief.

Survivors include his loving mother, Amanda Moncrief of Reynolds; his father, Darius Walker of McDonough; his sister, Emrie Marshall of Reynolds; his maternal grandfather, Jeff Moncrief (Angela) of Lovejoy; his maternal grandmother, Theresa Matusky (Robert) of Warner Robins; his paternal grandparents, Darryl Walker (Valarie); his maternal great-grandmother, Georgia Peed of Reynolds; his aunts, Alicia Moncrief of Reynolds and Daeja Walker of McDonough; his uncle, Charles Fossett of Fountain Inn, SC; and first cousins, Ry Moncrief, Melanie Walker, Rebecca Fossett, Brianna Fossett, Serenity Fossett and Faith Fossett and many more cousins who love him.

In lieu of other floral arrangements, the family requests that garden flowers be sent to be planted and maintained in his honor.
