Benjamin Franklin "Bennie" Hortman

Benjamin Franklin “Bennie” Hortman, 87, of Roberta passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 11:00 am at Benjamin Hawkins Memorial Site, 560 Benjamin Hawkins Road, Roberta., GA.   Bennie was a lifelong farmer that found much joy in the land that he farmed.  He loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie David Hortman and Clara Hortman and a son, Dewey Craig Hortman.

Survivors include two sons, Drake Hortman of Roberta, and Brad Hortman (Shelvie) of Reynolds; six grandchildren, Jordan Martin (Corbin) of Macon, Nicholas Hortman of Roberta, Ryan Hortman of California, Wesley Hortman of Reynolds, Chase Hortman of Reynolds, and Savanna Hortman of Reynolds; two great-grandchildren, Remington, and Colton Hortman; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.
