Beulah M. Horne passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Butler, Georgia.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at McLeighton Funeral Home in Butler, Georgia. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 12:00pm at Antioch Baptist Church, Dubois, Georgia.  In case of inclement weather, the service will be held inside the church sanctuary.

Born Beulah Mae Amerson in Taylor County on February 20, 1934, she moved to Macon, Georgia where she was a hairdresser until her retirement in 1988, when she and her husband Charles Horne moved back to Taylor County.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of her beloved pet cats and dogs and was always lovingly taking in many stray animals. Mrs. Horne also loved spending time with family and friends.  

Mrs. Horne was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Barto Amerson and Beulah Gaultney Amerson; her brother, Tom Posey; sisters: Hazel L. Wainwright and Mary Jane Davis; stepdaughter, Elaina Wilbanks and her beloved husband, Charles Horne.

Survivors include her stepchildren, Susan Danner (Charlie), Kevin Horne (Jo Lee), Linda "Lynn" Holmes (Phillip); grandchildren: Steven Johns (Jamelie), Chad Danner (Erin), Angela King (Brian Bennett), Olivia Russell,  Brad Horne, Jeremy Horne, Bethany Gonzalez (Alberto), David Whitson, Asa Whitmore, Kayla Summers (Trace);, great grandchildren: Kyndall Horne, Natalie Horne, Dawson Horne, Scarlett Johns, Conner Williams, Logan Russell and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
