Bobby Gene Rodgers, 89, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Born on May 5, 1935, he spent most of his life in Taylor County, GA before relocating to New Smyrna Beach three years ago to live with family.  Bobby lived a life marked by devotion to his family and community.

Bobby is survived by his sister, Helen Carroll, daughters Cindy Wilson (Floyd) and Lynne McUmber (Mark), six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Corine, brother Joe and parents, JB and Nannie Lou Rodgers.

A memorial service will be held at McLeighton Funeral Home Chapel, Reynolds GA, on Saturday October 5, 2024. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM with the service to follow at 2:00 PM. The family appreciates the outpouring of support during this time and looks forward to celebrating Bobby’s life with friends and loved ones.
