Buck Childers

Graveside services for Nathaniel “Buck” Childers, 79, of Mauk will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  Buck passed Sunday, May 28, 2023.

 He was a member of Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruby Harper Childers; three sisters, Jeanette Turner, Frances Harmon and Mary Ann Garner; one brother, Earl Childers; and one grandson, Justin Greg Childers.

He is survived by one son, Bruce Childers (Donna) of Helena, AL; one daughter, Tracy Currington (Greg) of Butler; two sisters, Louise Bone of Perry and Jewel Turner of Roberta; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and his partner, Laura Ellinwood of Mauk.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization of choice.
