A memorial service for Connie Christy Wainwright, 76, of Butler, will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 am at Bethel Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be private.   Connie passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at The Oaks Nursing Home.  She was a member of Bethel Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton Jordan and Myrtice Lucille Harris Jordan; her husband, Lee Stapleton; her siblings, Bobbie Dean Wainwright, Billy Jordan, Barry Jordan, and Ronnie Jordan; and two children, Christy Shehee and Will Shehee.

She is survived by her nephew, Chris Wainwright (Lynn), and her niece, Amanda Davis of Butler; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Church, 1516 Thomaston Highway, Butler, GA  31006.
