Danny Ray Jones “Papa,” 79, of Garden Valley, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 18, 1946.
Danny will be remembered for his faithful service to our nation in the United States Air Force, his love of the outdoors, and, most of all, his deep devotion to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Jones; their son, Lesley (Dana) Jones; grandchildren, Alicia (Evan) Jones, Nicholas Jones, and Samantha (Hugo) Gaddy; great-grandchildren, Ava Jones and Beckham Jones; and his sister, Ginger Jones.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Fannie Jones; his brother, Benny Jones; and his beloved dog, Button “Butter Butt.”
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
