Donald Carpenter

Donald Carpenter, 76, of Butler, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. He was born in Sylvester but had lived in Taylor County most of his life.  Donald was the proud owner and operator of Carpenter Trucking. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his business.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Inez Sawyer Carpenter; and his brothers, Oscar, Johnny, Pete, and Jim Carpenter.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Gail Jenkins Carpenter of Butler; one sister, Bobbie Jean Prince (Bernard) of Macon; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
