Graveside services for Gary Bentley Thompson, 89, of Roberta, will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Roberta City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Thompson passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025. He was a faithful member of Providence Primitive Baptist Church.

He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force and later retired from Robins Air Force Base after many years of dedicated civilian service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Elvis Thompson and Vivian Sanders Thompson, and his wife, Martha Hortman Thompson.

Survivors include his son, Samuel B. Thompson of Jonesboro; his companion, Joyce Sorrow of Roberta; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Primitive Baptist Church of Roberta.
