Graveside services for Gerald “Jerry” Ridgely, 75, of Mauk will be held Monday, November 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Butler Memorial Cemetery.  Jerry passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Columbus Hospice. 

He was of the Baptist faith and was a farmer for all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Demitt Ridgely and Marguerite Akers Ridgely; and a brother, Jim Ridgely.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine Ridgely of Mauk; two sons, Eddie Ridgely of Lexington, SC and Chuck Ridgely (Penny) of Ft. Valley; one brother, Clarence Lee Ridgely of Colorado; one nephew, Harry Lee Ridgely (Shirley Ann) of West Virginia; great-nephew, Brandon Lee Ridgely of West Virginia;  five grandchildren, Nicole Ridgely, Raven Ridgely, Evan Ridgely, Raigan Wilder and Bryant Wilder.

Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
