Graveside services for Hilda “Higgie” Weaver James, 94, of Reynolds will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Higgie passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Pine Pointe Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald H. James; three brothers, Holt Ruffin, Pat Weaver, and Earl Marshall “Booty” Weaver; one sister, Josephine Porter; and a daughter, Jenny James.

She was a faithful member of the Reynolds First Baptist Church, since the age of 14.  Higgie received a 2 year degree from Georgia State College of Women in Milledgeville, GA. She retired from Flint Electrical Corporation after 35 years of service in the accounts receivable and payroll department.   Higgie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Marsha James Causey of Musella; one granddaughter, Sydney Causey of Edinburgh, Scotland and a special niece, Merion Sheppard of Warthen, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reynolds First Baptist Church, PO Box 452, Reynolds, GA.
