Howard Eugene Hinton, 93, of Reynolds, Georgia passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Houston Methodist Hospital located in The Woodlands, Texas after a brief illness. Since April 2018, he has lived with his daughter and son-in-law in the Houston Texas area. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 14 with the visitation starting at 1:00 pm and Services to follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of McLeighton Funeral Service.   Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery. 

When in Houston, he had attended Spring Woods United Methodist Church and, in Reynolds, had attended the Reynolds United Methodist Church. Mr. Hinton had been a master carpenter for commercial and residential buildings in Taylor County and surrounding counties for 40 years.

He was the last surviving sibling and was preceded in death by his parents, Neil Hinton and Velma Underwood Hinton and his wife, Hazel Giles Hinton. Survivors include a daughter, LaWanna (Jake) Woodall of Willis, Texas, three granddaughters, Jade (Ronald) Klinger of Allen, Texas, Kiley (Josh) Harris of Tomball, Texas, Shanna (Warren) Ashford of Houston, TX, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Church of Reynolds, GA., P.O. Box 266 Reynolds, GA 31076 or the Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 1258 Tommy Purvis, Jr. Rd, Reynolds, GA  31076.
