Graveside services for James William Hortman, 87, of Musella will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Roberta City Cemetery.  James passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Taylor County Health Care. 

He was a member of the Mabel Masonic Lodge of Macon.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred J. Hortman and Mary Lou Childres Hortman; two brothers and five sisters; and his wife, Texas Hortman.

Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Barnette (Mark) of Roberta, Nancy Mead (Timothy) of Musella and Becky Ikner (Darrell) of Musella; five grandchildren, Travis Robillard of Warner Robins, Catherine Middleton of Musella, John Mead of Lizella, Amber Tripp of Lizella and Levi Mead of Ft. Collins, Colorado; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.

The family has requested that masks be worn during the visitation.  They will be provided at each entrance.

Memorial contributions in James’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
