Jamie Lyn Mims, 29, of Reynolds passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
She was a 2012, Taylor County High School graduate and was the drum major in the marching band for two seasons. She was a veterinarian assistant, distillery worker and bistro worker, a mermaid character and artist but her passion was being a mom.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John Mims, Jr. and Roger Potter, Sr.
She is survived by her parents, James Mims, Sr. and Traci Mims of Reynolds; her husband, Michael Bobbitt of Americus; and daughter Kenna Claire Bobbitt of Americus; siblings, Brooke Childs (Owen) of Oglethorpe, James Mims, Jr. (Lindsey) of Perry; father-in-law Tony Bobbitt (Tesa) of Americus; mother-in-law, Becky Dodson (James) of Plains; sister-in-law, Jennifer Bobbitt (Cody) of Columbus; her companion, Chad Salter of Americus, her grandparents, Jackie Mims of Perry and Joyce Potter of Kathleen; godparents, David and Stacey Mills of Reynolds; best friends who were like sisters, Megan Sherret of Americus and Nikki Thompson Proulx of Springfield; many nieces and nephews and close friends.

The family will be welcoming friends at her childhood home at 142 South Winston Street, Reynolds, GA 31076 on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
