Janet (McGehee) Patterson

Janet Ileen McGehee Patterson, born December 5, 1928 in McKeesport, PA to  Hugh and Mable Johnson McGehee.  The family located to Waverly Hall, Georgia at an early age where she graduated from Waverly Hall High School.  She attended GSCW in Milledgeville and the University of Georgia.

 She married J.W. (Bill) Patterson of Juniper, Georgia in 1948 and they moved to Reynolds where he was employed by the Central of GA Railroad.  Janet later went to work at Flint Electric Membership Corporation where she retired as Supervisor of Plant Accounting.

 She was preceded in death by a son, John Robert, beloved husband, Bill and sister, Doris Hamilton of Gainesville, Georgia.

 She is survived by sons, Billy (Alane) Patterson of Reynolds and Cal (Donna) Patterson of Butler; sister, Marion Krygier of Columbus, GA; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, c/o Alane Patterson, Treasurer, 8 Lee Street, Reynolds, Georgia 31076.

  Mrs. Patterson passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry.  Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Cemetery.
