A memorial service for Janice Fulcher Chubbuck, 77, of Reynolds, will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Reynolds Golf Course.

Janice passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at her residence.

She was a member of Trinity Church in Reynolds.

Janice was a 1966 graduate of Butler High School in Augusta, Georgia, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. She devoted her life to education, teaching physical education and coaching girls basketball in Augusta at Lucy Laney High School, before moving to Lexington High School in Lexington County South Carolina, where she taught and coached girls’ basketball. She later taught at White Knoll Middle School, where she retired.

An avid golfer, Janice enjoyed time playing and working on the course and the friendships she formed through the game, a passion that made the Reynolds Golf Course a fitting place to honor her life.

During her years at White Knoll Middle School, which coincided with the September 11, 2001 attacks, Janice was instrumental in organizing and raising funds to purchase a fire truck for the Red Hook Fire Department in New York City, reflecting her deep commitment to service and helping others in times of need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Evelyn Fulcher, and a sister, Michele Fulcher Casler.

She is survived by her daughter, Alycia Chubbuck Knight (Michael Lee), and their sons, Blake and Landon, of Gilbert, South Carolina; a sister, Carolyn Holley, of Georgia; a lifelong friend, Bonnie Brannin, of Reynolds, and her son, Ben Brannin (Jennifer), and their children, of Cataula; a brother-in-law, Paul Casler, of Newport Beach, California; and her beloved cat, Mazie.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers or plants, donations be made to Reynolds Golf Course, Trinity Church of Reynolds, or your favorite charity in Janice's name.
