Graveside services for Janice Short, 78, of Ideal will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 am at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  Mrs. Short passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of Bethel Congregational Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Grady Peacock and Carrie Madeline Carpenter Peacock; her husband, Lawrence Short; son, Rodney Short;  brother, George Harris and a granddaughter, Ariel Short.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Moore (David) of Butler; one sister, Ethel Hinton of Butler; one sister-in-law, Nell Harris of Butler; two grandsons, Brandon Short (Anna) of Reynolds and Justin Moore (Whitney) of Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Pam Short of Butler; one granddaughter, Danielle Truelove (Jody) of Butler; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey Truelove, Kaiden Truelove and Austin Allen; several nieces and nephews also survive.
