Funeral services for Janice Strickland, 76, of Lizella will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:00 am at Fellowship Church.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery.

Mrs. Strickland passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Houston Healthcare.    She was a member of Fellowship Church and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.L. Thornton and Willie Mae Crosby Thornton; three grandchildren, Harley Dwight Strickland, Ethan Kenny Strickland and Olivia Grace Grantham.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years,  Dwight  Strickland of Lizella;  two daughters and their husbands, Melissa and Donald Spillers of Roberta and Stephanie and Chip Grantham of Tifton; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Brandy Strickland of Lizella; grandchildren, Brittney (Matthew) Wilkes, Seth Spillers, Hunter (Rachel) Strickland, Bailey (Tyler Wright) Grantham, Marlyn (Dylan) Teel, Isabella Strickland and Vivian Strickland; seven great-grandchildren; her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and Mike Monroe of Waycross and niece, Lindy (Matt) Tisdel of Minneapolis, MN.

Flowers will be welcome, or a memorial contribution may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home.
