John Jeffrey Kelso, XVIII, 67 of Mauk passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at his residence. He loved rock and roll music. He was lead operator with the offshore oil rig platform Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Kelso and Ethal McAuliffe Kelso and a sister, Susan Sumner.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhiannon Kelso of Butler and Jennifer Kelso of Virginia and his dog, Barley, who lived a spoiled life.

Interment will be held at Mauk Cemetery at a later date.

He’s in the great big rock band in the sky.
