Funeral services for Josephine Augusta Harbuck Welch, 98, of Mauk will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Welch passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at her residence.

She was a faithful member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for 45 years.  She had also served as deputy registrar in Taylor County for 14 years and was a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David T. and Ava Maude Watson Harbuck; her husband, E.A. Welch, Jr;  three brothers, Virgil T. Harbuck, Dave Harbuck, Jr., Freddie M. Harbuck; three sisters, Dorothy H. Hill, Merrill Ramick, Lessie Wyrick.

She is survived by her children, Wanda W. Puente (Rick) of Mauk, Alane W. Patterson (Billy) of Reynolds, David Allen Welch (Carol) of Mauk and Billy Richard Welch (Leisa) of Butler; sisters, Maudie H. Wright of Bainbridge, Juanita Tante (Herbert) of Buena Vista, Mary Jo Mines, and Bonnie Harbuck of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Chet Bell( Gloria), Kim Tyson (Keith), Brian Posey (Kim), Brad Patterson (Dana), Ron Welch (Wendy), Roger Welch (Jennifer), Mandi Robison and Valori Fuller; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
