Kenneth Ray Hartley

Funeral services for Kenneth Ray Hartley, 51, of Butler will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Union United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.  Ken passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023.  He attended Union United Methodist Church. 

Ken received his Doctorate of Education from Argosy University in 2015.

He was an educator from 2002-2013 at both Peach County Middle School and Taylor County Middle School and had served as assistant principal at Taylor County Middle School from 2013-2014, assistant principal at Peach County High School from 2015-2016 and principal from 2017-2022.  He was currently serving as headmaster at Flint River Academy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hartley.

Survivors include his wife, Kristi P. Hartley of Butler; one son, Parker Ray Hartley of Butler; one daughter, Emily Hartley (John Grant) of Savannah; his mother, Glenda Hartley of Reynolds; two brothers, Kevin Hartley of Reynolds, Keith Hartley (Heather) of Reynolds; two nieces, Miah Hartley and Mikala Hood; brother-in-law, Clint Parker(Clair) of Butler; three nephews, Peyton Parker, Ander Parker and Cal Benjamin Parker; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Linda Parker of Butler; and his dog, Charlie.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s memory to Flint River Academy.
