Obituary

Larry Dale Gaultney, 60, of Frankfurt am Main, Germany, passed away on November 08, 2020. After surviving a very aggressive & rare cancer and a terrible work-related accident he was killed by doing what he loved best, riding his Harley Davidson. 

Larry was born August 27, 1960 & raised in Butler, GA to the late Mr. Harley Gaultney & the late Mrs. Mary "Nell" Meadows Gaultney. He attended Taylor County High School & worked at B.F. Goodrich-Martha Mill in Thomaston, GA before joining the U.S. Army & being stationed in Germany, where he served his Country for many years. While serving there he met the love of his life in 1986, married, had a daughter late in life and lived a very happy life. He also has two beautiful daughters from an earlier marriage that live stateside. He always looked forward to his annual trips of "Coming Home" to Georgia/Florida. He was getting ready to retire from the German train system, Deutche Bahn.

Larry is survived by his wife, Ami Maschler-Gaultney and daughter Rachel Marie Gaultney of Frankfurt, Germany; daughter Stephanie LaRae Gaultney-Ard of Thomaston; daughter Toni Lynn Gaultney of Meansville; his grandchildren Anna, Daylen, Nevaeh, Camryn, Landon, Triston, Alyssa & Aliyah; his brother Tony Gaultney of Montezuma, GA; his sister LeAnn Gaultney Cucchiara (Dan) of Silver Springs, FL; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his Parents & 6 Siblings, 2 Brothers, Milton H. Gaultney, Jerry W. Gaultney; 4 Sisters, Patricia Gaultney Whitley, Carolyn Gaultney Bartlett, Debbie Lee Gaultney & Debra Gaultney Chambers.

Larry will be honored in a Celebration of Life on June 17, 2023, at 2:00pm at Antioch Church of Butler. We invite his friends to attend. Our hearts are broken, and we will never be the same. We love you Larry, thank you for being such an amazing husband, dad, brother, brother in-law, grandfather, uncle, and awesome friend to so many people that crossed your path. His love, dedication, and compassion that he had for his family & friends will never be forgotten.
