Larry Taunton Obituary

Larry Woodphin Taunton, 82 of Butler passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Larry graduated from Reynolds High School and University of Georgia and received a degree from Mercer.

Larry served in the Georgia National Guard and worked at Federal Lending Agency in Tifton. His first job was assistant county agent.

Larry was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

Mr. Taunton was preceded in death by his parents, Tellie W Taunton and Lucille Amerson Taunton Sapp.

He is survived by his brother, James L. Taunton of Macon; longtime friends, Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Harp of Reynolds and Mr. Mrs. Langdon Harp of Reynolds.

McLeighton Funeral Service of Reynolds is in charge of arrangements.
