Lester H. Slaton

Graveside services for Lester H. Slaton, 87, of Reynolds will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Lester passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at his residence.  He was a member of the Reynolds First Baptist Church.   He enjoyed working on the family farm, was a former claims manager for Fireman’s Fund Insurance and retired from the Reynolds Post Office.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Slaton and Eula Mae Busbee Slaton; two brothers, Virlyn Slaton and Wayne Slaton and a sister, Sandra Klossing.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean Slaton of Reynolds; two daughters, Celeste Slaton of Reynolds, and Michelle Slaton of Reynolds; one brother, Gary Slaton of Reynolds; one granddaughter, Lexie Schlosberg of Reynolds; one great-granddaughter, Novaleigh Schlosberg of Reynolds; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reynolds First Baptist Church, PO Box 452, Reynolds, GA  31076
