Lisa (Henderson) Kirksey Obituary
Lisa Kay Henderson Kirksey, a beloved wife, mother, “Lolli”, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed from this earthly life into eternal rest on Saturday, April 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Lisa was the devoted wife of Larry Kirksey, with whom she shared 41 years together, rooted in love, commitment, and devotion to God. She was a proud and loving mother to Logan Kirksey Locke, and her joy only grew as she became “Lolli” to Madelyn Mae, Benjamin Gray, and Olivia Kate, each of whom held a special place in her heart. A caregiver by both calling and nature, Lisa dedicated her life to serving others through nursing and through the quiet, faithful care she gave to those she loved most. Her hands brought comfort, her presence brought peace, and her heart reflected Christ’s love in action. She lived out the words of Galatians 5:13, serving one another humbly in love. Lisa found beauty in life’s simple blessings. She delighted in tending to her flowers, watching them grow and bloom as a reflection of God’s creation. She found joy and peace in watching the birds, a gentle reminder of the Lord’s provision and care, as spoken in Matthew 6:26. Above all, she cherished time with her family, who were the center of her world and the greatest blessing of her life. Though her absence leaves a deep void, her family takes comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Lisa’s faith was her foundation, and she now rests in the presence of her Savior, whole and at peace. “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23 Lisa will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished until the day her family is reunited with her in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Eugene Henderson and Joan Darlene Stevens Henderson; a brother, Raymond Henderson; and a sister, Teresa Fraustein.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Kirksey of Butler; one daughter, Logan Kirksey Locke and husband, Houston of Reynolds; one brother, Jeff Henderson (Kay) of Logansport, IN; one sister, Melissa Henderson (Codie Wright) of Marion Indiana; one brother-in-law, Tom Fraustein; niece and caregiver, Amanda Lorenz of Wabash, Indiana; her grandchildren, Madelyn Locke, Benjamin Locke and Olivia Kate Locke; numerous nieces and nephews.
