Obituary
Graveside services for Margaret Nelson, 93, of Reynolds will be held on Thursday, March 30th, 2023, at 11:00 am at New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Taylor County Health and Rehab. She was a homemaker and member of Taylor Mill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Columbus Owens, Sr. “Lum” Owens and Exell Nations Owens; her brother, Henry Columbus Owens, Jr. and her husband, John Mercer Nelson, Jr. “Buck”.
She is survived by one son, Ronny Nelson of TN; one daughter, Kathryn Nelson Roberson (Gary) of Reynolds; two brothers, Hamp Owens of Hawkinsville and John Morris Owens of Hawkinsville; four grandchildren, Brian Nelson (Liz) of Warner Robins, Ben Roberson (Mandy) of Reynolds, Corey Roberson (Christy) of Reynolds and Heather Nipper (Kevin) of Reynolds; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.
Following the graveside service, the family will receive friends at Taylor Mill Baptist Church Annex.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Taylor Mill Baptist Church or New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church.
