Funeral services for Marshall William “Matt” Maddox, Jr., 86, of Warner Robins will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of McLeighton Funeral Service with Rev. Melvin Womack and Rev. Lesley Albritton  officiating.

Pallbearers are Kevin Davis, Kenneth Ford, Joshua Garner, Cale Pennington, Richard Morgan and Jeremiah Brown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Maddox passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his residence.

Matt was the owner and operator of an electrical/mechanical business, Matmaco since 1985. He was the co-founder and Elder of End Time Harvest Christian Center. He helped establish an orphanage for boys in Meru, Kenya. Matt made countless trips to Kenya to help remodel the building and furnish the rooms. Matt was involved in the prison ministry and the House of Love. He was truly a man of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Maddox and Mildred Strong Maddox; sister, Patsy Smith; brother, Eugene “Buddy” Maddox.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary Maddox; four sons, Marshall Randy Maddox III (Donna), Terrell King (Brenda), Mike King, Andy King (Sherry); one daughter, Cathy Chastain (Lew); brother, Gerald Ricky Maddox (Jan); sister, Judy Hopper; numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous beloved brother in laws and sister in laws along with nieces and nephews who he adored; best friend Pastor Melvin Womack.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
