Ronald L. Smith Obituary

Funeral services for Ronald L. Smith, 91, of Musella, will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.


Mr. Smith passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at his residence.


A faithful member of Bethel Church, Mr. Smith lived a life of service to both his community and his country. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after many years of dedicated employment. He also worked for the State of Georgia as a peanut inspector. Mr. Smith was a proud member of the American Legion, where he was known for placing flags in area cemeteries in honor of veterans.


He was a devoted husband who faithfully supported his wife of 57 years, Delores, in her many endeavors, reflecting a life grounded in love, dedication, and quiet strength.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Eugene Smith and Hazel Louise Long Smith; a granddaughter, Rebecca Smith, and his wife, Delores Smith.


Mr. Smith is survived by his two sons, Chris Smith (Tina) of Knoxville and Alton Smith of Byron; three daughters, Rhonda Harris (Frankie) of Musella, Dream Rajagopal of Richmond, Virginia, and Stephanie Wade of Knoxville; one sister, Linda Stokes (Cary) of Knoxville; nine grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Church or the organization  of your choice
